La Jolla Village is for people who want to live in a lively urban atmosphere near the ocean. This mixed residential/business enclave is located east of the I-5 freeway and south of the UC San Diego campus. Its western boundaries are North Torrey Pines Road and Gilman Drive, which separates the community from La Jolla Heights. (The “downtown” Village of La Jolla is an entirely different neighborhood.)
Suiting its metropolitan vibe, La Jolla Village provides an eclectic mix of condominiums and townhouses.
Some of these properties are quite affordable, and some are luxury gated developments. The community is popular as a home to UC professors and their students.
La Jolla Village is known not only for its easy freeway access but also for its proximity to shopping, dining, and entertainment. The attractive La Jolla Village Square boasts two groceries, a number of casual dining restaurants, one of La Jolla’s two movie theaters, and stores that you need for everyday purchases. Ample parking, some of it covered, is available.
Across the street, the neighborly Shops at La Jolla Village offers a post office, another movie theater, a pharmacy, banks, more casual dining, and additional retail services. The parking here is also ample and convenient.
Nearby Westfield-UTC is arecently renovated upscale, open-air shopping mall where visitors find a children’s play space, a family lounge, a bark park, and most surprisingly, a year-round ice skating rink. It is truly a destination in itself.
Singles, families, empty-nesters—La Jolla Village offers homes and amenities for all in an vibrant urban environment.
